# Encloq - public product reference Encloq is a confidential workspace for exchanging files, conversations, document revisions, acknowledgements and signatures. It is offered by Encloq GmbH, Austria. This is public product information, not the repository's private development instructions. Reviewed 25 September 2026. ## Why people use Encloq - Keep a client conversation, its documents and the next action together. - Encrypt file and message content on the client. Supported passkeys unlock local content keys; the service stores encrypted content. - Open supported PDFs, images and other files inside the workspace. The current encrypted-object ceiling is 250 GiB, subject to available storage and encryption overhead. Format, device and preview limits are separate. - Invite selected people into an encrypted conversation and manage their access. - With Pro, cover the storage used by sponsored file and message exchanges with clients. Clients do not need their own paid plan for those exchanges. Coverage settings and the sponsoring account's available quota apply. - Keep versions, request deliberate acknowledgements, and work with document signatures. Signature functionality is not a qualified electronic signature service. ## Product and practical examples - [Product and interactive examples](/product) - [Plans and current feature comparison](/pricing) - [Help: passkeys, guest invites and installing the app](/help) - [Contact](/contact) - [Open Encloq](https://inbox.encloq.com) ## Security boundaries Client-side protection depends on trusted application code, devices and correctly managed keys. Authorized recipients can read shared content. Owner controls cannot recall a copy already obtained or prevent a photograph of a screen. Encloq does not claim that other providers lack genuine end-to-end encryption, that every browser or file format has identical preview support, or that using the product alone establishes regulatory compliance. Plan availability and final purchase terms are confirmed in the app. The website's examples use fictional local data; they do not upload documents or create real invitations. ## Plans - Free: free, 1 GB of storage. Open folders and documents, change the view, add an example file, apply a sample signature, and switch document versions. You can also try messages, scheduled or one-time delivery, and create or revoke a guest invitation. ### Do my collaborators need an account? Yes. Guests sign in or create an Encloq account to accept an invitation. You choose who you share access with. ### What is end-to-end encrypted? Encloq encrypts file and message content in the client. The service still processes account, billing, and some operational metadata. ### Can I use Encloq on my phone? Yes. The workspace adapts to desktop and mobile. You can install the web app on supported browsers and devices, and use camera capture or voice recording where supported. ### What happens to a one-time message? One-time messages limit viewing within Encloq. They cannot prevent a recipient from taking a screenshot or keeping a separate copy of what they see.
