Set up Encloq on your devices.
Install Encloq from your browser to open it in its own window. Choose your device and browser below, then enable notifications if you want to be alerted to new messages.

Install from the app menu
In Encloq, click your avatar at the bottom left of the sidebar, then choose Install app. On a phone, open Settings in the bottom navigation and find Install app below your settings.
Encloq opens your browser’s installation dialog or shows the steps for your browser. Confirm the installation there. If Install app is missing, use the browser instructions above; the option is also hidden when Encloq is already installed.
After installing
Open Encloq from its new icon. It starts in its own window, without the browser around it. If it asks you to sign in, use your passkey as usual.
- Notifications. To hear about new messages while Encloq is closed, open Settings › Notifications and choose Enable on this device. On iPhone and iPad, this works once Encloq is on your Home Screen.
If notifications do not arrive
- On iPhone and iPad
- Open the installed app from your Home Screen. If notifications are blocked, open your device’s Settings › Notifications › Encloq and allow them, then return to Encloq and try Enable on this device again.
- In other browsers
- Allow notifications for Encloq in your browser’s site settings. Also check that your operating system allows notifications from that browser. If the browser has no push service available, Encloq shows this in its notification settings.
